How Is A High-quality Red Carpet Made
May 22, 2025
1. Raw Material Preparation
Polyester fiber (short PET fibers) is used as the main material.
Fiber specs: Length 32-64mm, thickness 1.5-6 denier.
Pre-treatment: Fibers are loosened, cleaned, and mixed evenly using opening machines.
2. Web Formation
Dry-laid process:
Fibers are layered into a web (like a thin sheet) using a carding machine.
Air or mechanical methods help bind fibers loosely for stability.
3. Needle Punching
Needle-punching machine stabs the fiber web thousands of times:
Density: 300-800 punches per cm².
Needles create a tangled 3D structure, making the carpet sturdy.
4. Cutting & Packaging
Cutting: Rolled into standard widths (1-4m) and lengths (60-90m/roll).
Quality checks: Tested for smoothness, color consistency, and edge strength.
Packaging: Wrapped in waterproof film and labeled for storage.
Key Features
Durability: Lint-free, flat surface, ideal for temporary use (events, construction sites).
Cost-effective: Polyester is cheap, and needle-punching uses less energy.
